What Is Word Factory?

Word Factory is a 5×5 Boggle-style word game — a larger, longer-word version of the classic Boggle format. It uses 25 letter cubes arranged in a 5×5 grid, and it is commonly associated with Big Boggle. Words are formed by connecting letters that touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and each tile can only be used once per word.

The bigger board means more words to find — and much longer words to discover. A 5×5 board regularly contains words of 8, 9, or even 10+ letters, which is what makes Word Factory such a satisfying challenge.

Word Factory vs. Big Boggle

Big Boggle is the official 5×5 version of Boggle, and Word Factory is the name many players use for the same 5×5 format. In practice, the two terms describe the same experience: a 5×5 board, 25 letter tiles, and the hunt for longer words. If you've played one, you already know how to play the other.
