New Game Modes Every Day of the Week

Bored of the same 4×4 grid every day? Our Weekly Challenges rotate through 7 unique game modes, each with its own twist on the classic Boggle formula. Whether you want to hunt for themed vocabulary, test yourself on massive 5×5 boards, or play a quick family-friendly round, there's a challenge waiting for you every single day.

Tuesday rotates through 8 themed word banks — Weather, Flowers, Ocean, Space, Food, Music, Sports, Animals — giving you ×4 points for theme-related finds. Wednesday expands the grid to 5×5 with a 5-letter minimum, rewarding true word-hunters. Thursday bans a specific letter each week (rotating through E, A, T, S, R, I, N, O), forcing you to think creatively without common letters.

Friday gives you 8 hidden target words to find with massive score multipliers. Saturday introduces versus-mode scoring, where only unique words count — perfect for friend challenges. Sunday unwinds with an easy 3×3 grid and a 2-letter minimum, making it ideal for kids and family game night.

Mondays are your brain-rest day — no challenge, just a preview of what's coming up this week. All scores are saved locally, so you can track your progress across the week without any account or registration required.

How Scoring Works

Scoring follows standard Boggle rules with a few twists: 3–4 letter words earn 1 point, 5-letter words earn 2, 6-letter words earn 3, 7-letter words earn 5, and 8+ letter words earn 11 points. On Theme Word Tuesday, theme-related words earn ×4 points. On Versus Saturday, only unique words count toward your score. Family Fun Sunday allows 2-letter words at 1 point each.

What's Rotating This Week

Every week, Tuesday's theme and Thursday's banned letter rotate through an 8-week cycle. This means you'll never see the same combination twice in a row. The 8 themes cover Weather, Flowers, Ocean, Space, Food, Music, Sports, and Animals. The 8 banned letters rotate through E, A, T, S, R, I, N, and O — some of the most common letters in English, making Thursday truly challenging.
