Daily Boggle — A New Themed Puzzle Every Day
A brand-new daily game: Daily Boggle. Every day we publish a fresh themed 4×4 board (Animals, Food, Sports, Space and dozens more) with two ways to play. Daily mode is a timed theme hunt — 60 seconds plus 60 seconds per theme word — where you can reveal a word's first letter or meaning at the cost of a few seconds, and the full word only unlocks after a short wait. A fast, complete run earns a speed bonus. Zen mode is the same board with no time limit. Words from the day's theme bank score double points, everyone plays the exact same board, and each puzzle keeps a permanent page you can replay. It sits alongside our classic Daily Challenge as a second daily game.
Hints, Board Rotation & Length Progress — In Every Mode
Three new ways to play smarter. Earn a 💡 Hint every 2 words you find: it shows a word's definition (from Open English WordNet) and reveals its first letter on the board — tap Display to reveal the whole word and its path. 🔄 Rotate spins the board 90° so you can spot connections from a fresh angle. And a row of length rings tracks your progress for 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 8+ letter words at a glance. All three now appear in Classic Boggle, Word Factory, the Daily Challenge, the Weekly Challenges and friend Challenge links.
Prefer to take your time? A new "No time limit" toggle on the start screen removes the countdown and counts up instead — finish whenever you like with End Game & Score. Works in Classic Boggle and Word Factory. Untimed games are clearly marked in your history and personal best, and they don't unlock the speed-based achievements or generate challenge links, so timed and untimed scores stay fair.
The Daily Challenge timer has been extended from 3 to 5 minutes, giving you more room to hunt down the longer words on today's shared board. Same board for everyone, same midnight-UTC reset — just a little more thinking time.
Fixed a language flash bug that briefly showed translated interfaces on some pages. The site now runs English-first with no auto language detection, removing a subtle cross-page build issue. All pages load instantly in clean English with no switching flicker — and localised /zh/ /ja/ /de/ /fr/ /es/ /pt/ URLs now redirect to their English equivalents.
The validation dictionary now sticks to everyday English. After the initial top-100K frequency rebuild, we removed 250+ slang terms, informal shortenings, acronyms, abbreviations, and pure proper-noun noise (brands, organisations, fantasy and franchise names) that added little value for real players. The result is a clean 47,501-word dictionary — days, months, common names, and internet-era words like EMAIL and BLOG all remain, and the difficulty tiers stay strictly nested Easy ⊂ Hard ⊂ Extreme ⊂ Full.
A brand-new game mode: Word Factory, the 5×5 Boggle experience also known as Big Boggle. Race a 3-minute timer on a 25-tile board, track your Longest Word live with a 🔥 new-record flash, and review a full board analysis after every game — words found, found rate, and the longest words you missed. Your personal best is saved automatically.
The end-of-game modal is gone. A celebratory score banner with a count-up animation, confetti, and a highlighted board now appears right in the page, followed by a scrollable results section showing every valid word on the board — found words in green, missed words in grey — plus an optional translate-to-your-language tool powered by MyMemory for non-English players. New sound effects play on word success, errors, game completion, and a countdown tick in the final 10 seconds, with a mute toggle that remembers your choice.
Rebuilt the validation dictionary for a player-friendly experience. The word list now uses only the most common 100,000 English words by frequency (filtered from 172,768 down to 47,501), removing obscure, archaic, and rare words while keeping everyday vocabulary — days, months, internet-era words like EMAIL and BLOG, and recognizable proper nouns. The dictionary hierarchy stays strictly nested — Easy ⊂ Hard ⊂ Extreme ⊂ Full — so every word a board uses is always playable, and the Daily Challenge validates against the same dictionary as Classic Boggle.

Two new pages: a complete guide to Netflix Boggle Party (rules, unique-word scoring, and all three game modes — Party, Daily Puzzle, and Survival) and a free Boggle Word Checker that validates any word against our 47,501-word dictionary and shows its point value.
The Daily Challenge now lets you replay yesterday’s board in practice mode — no score submission, no streak risk, just skill-building. An all-time top-10 leaderboard now sits alongside the daily rankings so you can see the best players ever on puzzle-boggle.com.
Every game you complete on the Play page now reports your score, word count, and difficulty to our analytics. This powers fairer leaderboards and gives us insight into how players use the game.
Every game you complete is now saved locally. A collapsible "Recent Games" panel shows your last 20 plays — difficulty, score, word count, and relative time. Defaults to showing the 5 most recent games, with a "Show all" toggle for the full list.
Real-time daily rankings powered by Cloudflare D1. Every player sees a live top 10 alongside their personal rank. Bot activity fills the board so it never looks empty, while real scores always get fair placement. Set your nickname and compete worldwide.
Switched the daily puzzle to easy dice for a friendlier experience. The rank bar now shows personalized, tier-based messages — from "Unstoppable!" for #1 to encouraging nudges for lower ranks. Best-score-only saving ensures replays never hurt your standing.
Added full hreflang alternate tags across all seven languages (English, 中文, 日本語, Français, Deutsch, Español, Português), structured data markup on every page, and proper canonical URLs. Search engines now correctly index each language variant and display rich results. This multi-language setup was retired in September 2026 in favour of the English-first site described at the top of this page.

Seven unlockable achievement badges reward milestones like finding long words or maintaining streaks. A Canvas-based share card generator creates beautiful summary images for social media. Invite links let friends jump directly into a challenge.
Split the dictionary into three difficulty levels backed by the ENABLE word list. Easy mode uses vowel-rich dice; Hard uses the classic Boggle set; Extreme spans 47,501 words with rare-consonant dice. Each difficulty has its own dice set and board validation threshold.
